Driver​
As a driver member of CDL-USA you can explore different career paths, learn how to find your ideal job, clarify your personal goals, develop plans to achieve your goals, then do it. As long as you have your CDL, CLP (Commercial Learner's Permit), or state driver's license and a current interest in professional driving, you will have access to CDL-USA active member information and services. These include CDL school profiles and comparisons, driver Career Coaching, a private Job Vault, a like-minded Community, a Development Center, industry news, trends, and "secrets". There is never a cost to drivers for CDL-USA services.

Member Coaching
As a CDL-USA member, when you sign in as a CDL-USA participating driver (or wannabe driver) you will automatically become enrolled in the CDL-USA New Driver Career Coaching Program.

With the support of your online career coach (the program) and a community of like-minded drivers, you're on your way to clarify your goals, make a plan to reach those goals, take action, and have success. ​​
​ New and Inexperienced
Driver Career Coaching Program

All participating CDL-USA member drivers receive:
​
pre-employment . . . coaching,
onboarding . . . coaching,
retention . . . coaching.
Coaching programs last anywhere from one day to six months. It's up to you how much you want. After six months of programed coaching, you will still be eligible for CDL-USA services. As long as you retain a valid CDL license all other CDL-USA member services will be available to you.

Coaches
As a participating CDL-USA member driver you will have online career coaching in the form of unlimited access to specific goal oriented coaching packages. Your chosen coaching package will help you define goals, decide next steps, find a goal compatible job, meet career challenges, and focus on goals. Remember, there is never a charge to drivers for CDL-USA services!
Carriers​
Participating carriers agree to submit jobs with clear expectations and eligibility filters in the CDL-USA private internal Job Vault. The CDL-USA Job Vault Coordinator will be the carrier's contact with CDL-USA. Positions will be posted in the CDL-USA Job Vault in the approved filtered format. As a driver, when you select or show interest in a job that matches your goals, and with your permission, the carrier will be given your contact information and you will be given the carrier's contact information.
The carrier will then proceed as they normally do with an interested driver. No matter who you decide to work for, your coach and CDL-USA services (including the Job Vault) will be available to you as long as you are active and have a valid CDL.
Coaching Relationship
The coaching relationship is between you and the CDL-USA New Driver Career Coaching Program. The coaching packages, coaching information, and relationship between you and CDL-USA is considered confidential. Your personal information will not be shared with the carrier, carrier representative, or any outside source without your permission. The success of our programs, organization, and community is based on trust. CDL-USA employees are not employees of the carriers or sponsors. CDL-USA's vision is "to have the most positive hiring process for new drivers in the US trucking industry". When you have and follow a good coaching program you have a better chance of choosing the right employer the first time and everyone wins.
All sponsorships are considered "scholarships" for coaching services with no strings attached to you, the driver, and imply no obligation, contractual or otherwise between you and your sponsor. A good coaching program makes for better players and better teams.
Schedule
You and your coach will decide on a coaching schedule and style that keeps you motivated, focused, and results oriented. There is no minimum or maximum time frame. It's all on-line. Sometimes the game needs to slow down, sometimes it needs to speed up. One key to being a successful truck driver is trip planning. Sponsors​
All participating carriers agree to become active sponsors when a driver is referred to them. Read the sponsor section for more details. Non-carriers may be sponsors but will have no access to drivers, carriers, or information other than a password limited Job Vault and public CDL-USA information. All participating drivers receive CDL-USA services at no cost to them.
